Things to Do in Makarska:
Just a short drive from town, Biokovo Mountain and its stunning skywalk are must-visits. The skywalk, a glass-floored platform that extends out from the cliffs, gives you panoramic views over the coast and islands below. If you’re not too scared of heights, it’s an amazing experience, and the photos you’ll get are epic.

Take your time to explore the trails throughout Biokovo Nature Park. This park is a nature lover’s paradise, with trails for both beginner and advanced hikers, and the views are spectacular all the way up. You may even encounter some local wildlife, like wild goats or horses!

Makarska Harbour
Makarska Harbour is the heart of the town, lined with charming bars and restaurants. A stroll here is beautiful, it’s a great spot to start or end your day. The harbour is also where you can catch boats to many Croatian islands, such as Hvar, Brač and Korčula.

For a small fee (around £5), Makarska Observatory offers an exciting chance to see Jupiter and its moons, and even Saturn up close! This unique experience is well worth it and a great way to spend an evening exploring the wonders of our solar system.
